Η μαγεία του χρώματος που λιώνει πάνω στο ύφασμα.

Κάθε ρούχο έχει μια ιστορία – και στο ice dyeing, αυτή ξεκινά με πάγο και χρώμα.

Όταν ξεκίνησα να δημιουργώ ice dyed ρούχα, δεν ήθελα απλώς να φτιάξω “όμορφα κομμάτια”. Ήθελα κάθε μπλούζα, φούτερ ή φόρεμα να είναι μοναδικό – σαν έργο τέχνης που φοράς.

Και το ice dyeing ήταν ο πιο μαγικός τρόπος να το κάνω.

Ας ξεκινήσουμε από την αρχή…

Τι είναι το Ice Dyeing;

Το ice dyeing είναι μια τεχνική βαφής υφασμάτων που βασίζεται στη δύναμη του… πάγου. Ακουμπάμε πάγο πάνω στο ρούχο και ρίχνουμε από πάνω ειδικές χρωστικές. Καθώς ο πάγος λιώνει, σπρώχνει το χρώμα μέσα στο ύφασμα – με τρόπο εντελώς απρόβλεπτο.

Το αποτέλεσμα;

Καμπύλες, σκιές και χρωματικοί συνδυασμοί που δε θα μπορούσε να φτιάξει κανείς “επίτηδες”. Είναι η στιγμή που η φύση συνεργάζεται με την τέχνη.

Γιατί να διαλέξεις Ice Dyed ρούχα;

• Μοναδικότητα: Κανένα κομμάτι δεν μπορεί να ξαναφτιαχτεί ίδιο. Φοράς κάτι που κυριολεκτικά δεν υπάρχει αλλού.
• Χειροποίητη φροντίδα: Κάθε ρούχο βάφεται με το χέρι, ένα-ένα.

Πίσω από κάθε κομμάτι στο εργαστήριο μου, κάθε βαφή είναι μια ιεροτελεστία. Επιλέγω προσεκτικά χρώματα που ταιριάζουν με μια εποχή, ένα συναίσθημα ή απλώς μια εικόνα στο μυαλό μου. Βάζω τον πάγο. Ρίχνω το χρώμα. Και περιμένω...
Το πιο όμορφο με αυτή τη διαδικασία είναι ότι ποτέ δεν ξέρεις ακριβώς τι θα βγει. Κάπως έτσι είναι και η ζωή, έτσι δεν είναι;

Πώς να Φροντίσεις τα Ice Dyed Ρούχα σου.

Κάθε ice dyed ρούχο είναι μοναδικό – και αξίζει την καλύτερη φροντίδα.

Για να διατηρήσεις τα χρώματα ζωντανά και το ύφασμα σε άριστη κατάσταση, ακολούθησε αυτά τα απλά βήματα:
1. Πλύσιμο στο χέρι ή σε χαμηλή θερμοκρασία
Τα χρώματα είναι σταθερά, αλλά όσο πιο ήπια τα μεταχειρίζεσαι, τόσο περισσότερο θα διατηρηθούν.
2. Γύρισε το ρούχο από την ανάποδη
Έτσι προστατεύεις το σχέδιο από την τριβή.
3. Χρησιμοποίησε ήπιο απορρυπαντικό
Απόφυγε χλωρίνες ή σκληρά καθαριστικά.
4. Μην τα αφήνεις στον ήλιο για πολύ ώρα
Το φως μπορεί να ξεθωριάσει τα χρώματα με τον καιρό. Στέγνωμα στη σκιά = ιδανικό.
5. Κάθε “ψεγάδι” είναι μέρος της μαγείας
Μην τρομάξεις αν ένα χρώμα “παίξει” με άλλο. Είναι η φυσική εξέλιξη ενός ζωντανού κομματιού.
